About
Mariam Much is a pianist, composer, writer and Filmmaker whose work moves between classical tradition and dreamlike experimentation
Shaped by years of disciplined classical music training, international competitions, old piano recordings, Georgian gut-wrenching poetry, Jungian psychology, solitude, and a need to film spontaneous images, she gradually developed her own artistic language - One where all these mediums merge into a one single oneiric world.

FIRST MOVEMENT
THE FOUNDATION
Mariam began her piano studies at the age of eight. Her musical education was profoundly shaped by distinguished teachers, including Manana Doijashvili and Nodar Nakaidze, whose mentorship played a pivotal role in developing her artistic discipline, musical taste, and deep understanding of a composer's intentions hidden within the score.
(Both professors belong to a remarkable pedagogical lineage tracing directly back through generations of teachers to Ludwig van Beethoven — carrying forward an almost sacred musical tradition and heritage.)
During her early years, Mariam studied at the Conservatoire's "Musical Seminary" and "Our School", a private institution dedicated exclusively to the education of young musical prodigies. She later earned her Bachelor's degree from the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire, for her professional development.

OBSERVATIONS
Alchemical approach
The alchemy is about balancing contrasting elements to achieve the Magnum Opus - the Great Work - combining different skills, perspectives, and disciplines into one body. "When multi-passionate people become multi-disciplinary, they create new fields."

THE WORLDS ITSELF
Metro
In tunnels where wagons are always changing trajectories: They stop, go fast, are late and are early (and are still in some kind of synch, hierarchying, working under some system). And yet, you could accidentally come across something that makes you see the microcosms within what appears to be a rigid, dull and repetitive system. In the little tunnel structures of Tbilisi Metro.
